About us
Murrelektronik is driving decentralized automation – as the next step for modern industry. Not just a buzzword, but a decision: functions belong where they are needed. On the machine, in the field, directly in the process. That is our understanding of revolution: a consistent shift in perspective for machine and plant engineering.
We come from the world of connection technology. Fifty years ago, we started with connectors – and this has grown into one of the largest connector portfolios on the market. This heritage is our foundation: Those who think decentrally need a basis that is uncompromisingly reliable. Because when signals, data, and power converge closer to the machine, every detail counts – in terms of robustness, quality, and industrial suitability.
Today, we combine this DNA with a clear mission: to reorganize automation. For us, decentralized means building systems modularly, keeping structures clear, and developing solutions that can be quickly translated into real-world applications. It’s not about being “different.” It’s about becoming simpler – in the implementation, operation, and further development of systems.
Revolution does not happen in isolation. We rely on co-creation – together with customers and partners, guided by real-world requirements, through direct dialogue, and with a clear focus on what matters in practice.
With around 3,000 employees in over 50 countries, we are bringing this revolution to industry worldwide – consistently decentralized, consistently close to the machine.
