Murrelektronik has been recognized as the most innovative medium-sized company in the automation technology sector in the latest innovation ranking by stern and the Deutschen Gesellschaft für Verbraucherstudien (German Society for Consumer Studies). With a score of 82.00, the company secures the top position in its industry, building on its success from 2025.

The ranking, "Germany’s Most Innovative Medium-Sized Companies," is based on an objective, data-driven methodology. It evaluates patent performance – considering not only the number of patents granted during the study period but also their relevance to the economy’s overall innovation activity. This is measured, among other factors, by how frequently patents are cited in other patents or how often they reference other patents themselves. From these factors, a score is calculated.

In the overall ranking across 30 industries and 500 companies, Murrelektronik achieved eighth place – further proof of the company’s innovative strength. The repeated top ranking in the automation technology sector underscores Murrelektronik’s commitment to actively shaping technological developments and driving automation forward – especially with a focus on decentralization.
