Decentralized Automation: Murrelektronik at LogiMAT 2026
Intralogistics is becoming faster, more connected and significantly more modular. Whether it’s new machine designs or retrofitting existing systems, more and more decision-makers are opting for decentralised systems that can be scaled flexibly whilst remaining robust in day-to-day operation. Added to this is the boom in robotics and automated handling systems – and with it the pressure to implement automation not only more intelligently, but also more simply.
At LogiMAT 2026, Murrelektronik will demonstrate exactly how this is achieved: with smart, decentralised plug-and-play solutions for control cabinet-free automation – designed for efficient installation, seamless networking and cost-optimised implementation. Illustrative applications demonstrate how intralogistics applications can be installed using digital guidance and operated in a future-proof manner.
Trade fair highlights at a glance
Vario-X: The system for decentralized automation
Instead of time-consuming point-to-point wiring in the control cabinet, the focus is shifting to decentralised concepts – in both new builds and retrofits. Vario-X supports this transition as a holistic system: it integrates peripherals from sensors and actuators right up to the cloud and back – manufacturer-independent and compatible with common industrial protocols.
uKonn-X: Digital assistance for installation and commissioning
Increasing system complexity and a shortage of skilled workers make error-free installation a challenge. uKonn-X guides users step by step through installation and commissioning like a digital pilot – clearly, in a structured manner, and even with complex setups.
A safe path to decentralization: the digital machine twin
Decentralised installation technology saves time and costs – but the transition requires planning certainty. Murrelektronik uses the digital twin to reduce risks and create transparency. In practice, this can shorten commissioning time by up to 70%.
Xelity Wave Pro: Industrial wireless for moving applications
For highly dynamic applications, Murrelektronik presents Xelity Wave Pro – an industrial wireless solution with uninterrupted data transmission. It supports PROFINET, PROFIsafe, EtherNet/IP and CIP Safety, amongst others – with no switching times and no packet loss, even for safety-related communication.
pure.IO: Cost-effective and scalable IO-Link
With pure.IO, Murrelektronik is expanding its IO-Link portfolio with a particularly cost-effective solution for standard applications in production and intralogistics. The compact, lightweight, daisy-chain and multi-protocol-capable IO-Link master enables new topologies: power, fieldbus and IO-Link can be looped through. This allows up to 256 I/Os to be networked with a single master.
One-Cam-Connect: Installation package for single-camera applications
Machine vision is becoming standard in many applications – and with it comes the need for a streamlined installation concept. One-Cam-Connect is an installation package developed specifically for single-camera applications, designed to support quick and clean implementation.
MVK Fusion CIP Safety: Hybrid safety module for EtherNet/IP
MVK Fusion combines standard I/O, safety-related I/O and IO-Link in a single fieldbus module. New to the range: MVK Fusion CIP Safety for EtherNet/IP based on CIP Safety. Red safety cables are also available in 4-, 5- and 8-pin versions.
MQ15 Power: Quick to install, powerful in operation
MQ15 connectors supply asynchronous and three-phase motors up to 7.5 kW, as well as frequency converters, quickly, safely and in a space-saving manner. The quick-connect system can reduce installation time by up to 80%; the connection is IP67-rated. A new control cabinet feed-through further simplifies and speeds up installation.
